CAKE OF MANY FLAVORS | |
2 sticks butter 1/2 c. Crisco 3 c. sugar 5 well beaten eggs 3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1 c. milk 1 tsp. coconut flavoring 1 tsp. rum flavoring 1 tsp. lemon flavoring 1 tsp. butter flavoring 1 tsp. almond flavoring 1 tsp. lemon flavoring Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream together butter, Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy. Add and mix well the eggs. Sift together flour and baking powder. Add to sugar mixture alternately with milk. Mix well and blend in all flavorings. Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan. Spoon in mixture and bake for 1 1/2 hours (or until the cake tests done). Cook cake in pan for 10 minutes. GLAZE: 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. water 1 tsp. each kind of flavoring used in cake |
