POLISH POTATO NOODLES (KLUSKI) | |
These are so good! Once fried they will lose the grey color and turn the color of a noodle. 6 to 8 large potatoes (I prefer Idaho) 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour salt and pepper, to taste 1 small onion, minced large stock pot with boiling water Peel potatoes and grate them till they are all mush. Season with salt and pepper. Add flour and mix till a soft dough is formed. Drop by spoonfuls into boiling water. When floating to the top remove with a slotted spoon and allow to dry. They will look a grey color. Once dry heat vegetable oil or bacon grease in a skillet and fry. Once fried place on platter. Serve with warm sauerkraut and if like add some crispy bacon. Next thing to do is eat it all! Submitted by: Katrina Neveraski |
