DELUXE APPLE PIE FILLING 
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 qt. fresh apples, sliced
1 tbsp. butter, soft

Bring water and cornstarch to a boil and cook slowly until clear and thick. Stir in sugar and cinnamon; bring to a boil. Remove from burner and pour over the apple slices. Add the butter. Pour into 9 inch pie crust, and cover with top crust. Bake 35-40 minutes at 450-475 degrees.
