1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
4 tbsp. cocoa
Dash of salt
2 level tsp. baking soda

Combine in large mixing bowl.

Add:

1 c. cold water

Mix thoroughly. Add:

1 c. Miracle Whip salad dressing
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine dry ingredients in large mixing bowl. Add water, Miracle Whip, vanilla. Mixing well after each.

Bake in 350 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes.

VANILLA FROSTING:

1/4 c. Crisco
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. confectioners' sugar
1/4 c. milk

In a bowl mix Crisco, salt, vanilla and about 1/3 of the sugar. Add milk and remaining sugar alternately; mix until smooth. Add more sugar to thicken, more milk to thin.
