STIR FRY ASPARAGUS 
1 lb. asparagus
2 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. liquid

Cut fresh asparagus on an angle (this is important and easy to do) about 3/4". Heat oil until hot. Add asparagus and stir fry 1 minute to seal in juices and color. Add 1/2 cup liquid, water or chicken broth. (I use 1 teaspoon chicken soup base or chicken flavored bouillon granules and 1/2 cup water). Cover and cook on hot for 2 minutes. Very good. Eat immediately. The longer it stays in hot covered pan the softer it gets.
