Bake a sheet cake (strawberry) according to pkg. instructions. After it has cooled, poke holes in top (with end of wooden spoon). Make 2 batches, instead of water add 3 tbsp. fresh pureed strawberries (about 6-8 leg), food coloring and no vanilla. Spread over cake making sure all holes are filled and spread evenly over top. Put in refrigerator for 2 1/2 hours (or overnight). Yuuuuuuuummmmmmmm!!!

It was good with water. With a hit of innovation, I added mango juice instead of water, it was superb!

Double batched: 2 tbsp. water, 1 tsp. vanilla, beat on low. Separated, adding few Wilton's flavoring essence to each - one lemon, one peppermint. Divided again into sandwich bags & massaged in food coloring. Zip bags shut, twist & cut small corner off, precision icing!

Instead of water I use milk, one egg, one tbsp. of vanilla extract. Makes it perfectly for cakes!

Really good, but super sweet. Only a drizzle is necessary, and it goes great on a cupcake! and bonjour to my fellow friends

Wonderful! I was looking for a basic icing recipe and here it is! I added only the 1 tbsp. but instead of water I used warm fresh brewed tea and added 2 oz. of strawberry jam (oh and no vanilla). I used this for a chocolate filling and its great! Strawberry Creme in Dark Chocolate. Yum! Thanks! To use this as a drizzle I'd definitely add the extra water tho.

Proportions are going to vary, depending on what you want to do with it...but this is not rocket science. I wanted something a bit "lighter" to put over some banana bread, so I went with a combination of water and the juice of half an orange. Worked great.

I loved it! I made a double batch and used it as a cupcake frosting it worked wonders and went well with the "funfetti" cake mix for the cupcakes. I also only used the water needed and was the right "drizzle" for the cupcakes.

I am looking for an icing recipe with 2 cups confectioners' sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, butter, and hot water. How much butter, and how much hot water is my question. Thanks Leena!
