STRAWBERRY TRIFLE 
1 day-old cake 8 x 8 inch vanilla, split or pound cake, sliced
1 qt. strawberries, sliced & sugared to taste
1 (3 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding, prepared
1 c. heavy cream whipped with 1/4 c. sugar

Cut 1 layer of the cake into pieces and arrange in bottom of a 2 quart glass serving bowl. Cover with 1/2 the strawberries. Spread with 1/2 the pudding. Repeat. Cover with the whipped cream. Refrigerate at least 4 hours. To serve, spoon into dessert dishes. Serves 8 to 10.
