RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS LASAGNA SUPREMO | |
MEAT MIXTURE: 1 (1 lb.) roll breakfast sausage (Jimmy Dean) or Italian sausage 1 lb. lean ground beef 1 (16 oz.) bag frozen vegetable seasoning blend (Pictsweet) 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes (Hunts) 2 (6 oz. ea.) cans tomato paste 2 (8 oz. ea.) cans tomato sauce 1 cup water 1 tbsp. minced garlic 2 tbsp. salt 1 tbsp. pepper 1 tsp. onion powder 1 1/2 tbsp. garlic powder 1 tbsp. basil 1 tbsp. oregano 1 tbsp. Italian seasoning 1/2 tsp. fennel seeds 1 tbsp. parsley Brown meat with seasoning blend and garlic. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and herbs. Taste and add more seasonings as needed. Add all tomatoes and water. Simmer for 1 hour. NOODLES: 2 (9 oz. ea.) boxes no-boil lasagna noodles (Barilla "oven ready") Soak noodles in hot tap water for 20 minutes. Set aside. CHEESE MIXTURE: 2 eggs 1/2 tbsp. pepper 3 tbsp. parsley 1 (5 oz.) freshly shredded Parmesan cheese 1 (5 oz.) freshly shredded Romano cheese 1 (8 oz.) bag Italian blend cheese 2 (15 oz. ea.) tubs ricotta cheese 2 (8 oz. ea.) bags shredded Mozzarella cheese, divided 2 (8 oz. ea.) bags shredded cheddar cheese, divided Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine eggs, pepper, parsley, Parmesan, Romano, Italian blend, ricotta, 1 bag of Mozzarella and 1 bag of cheddar. Layer noodles, meat, and then cheese. Finish off with layer of noodles. Sprinkle top with remaining Mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Bake at 375°F for 30 to 60 minutes depending on deepness. Submitted by: Amanda White |
