2 c. Aunt Jemima corn meal mix (self-rising white) 1/2 c. milk 1 c. water 1/4 c. vegetable shortening, oil or drippings Mix the meal mix and the milk. Add the water and mix until blended. Spoon approximately 1/3 cup mix into the hot well-greased skillet for each fritter. Fry to golden brown on both sides. Makes approximately 6 medium-sized fritters. |
