2 pkgs. yellow cornbread mix (prepare according to pkg. directions)
1 can creamed corn
1/2 lb. Longhorn cheese, grated
1 sm. can green chilies, chopped
1 sm. jar picante sauce
1 med. onion, chopped
1 lb. ground meat
Salt to taste

Brown meat and onions. Add peppers, picante sauce and corn. Pour half cornbread mix into a greased 9 inch iron skillet or baking dish. Spoon meat mixture evenly over cornbread mix. Sprinkle cheese next, then pour over the remaining cornbread mix and bake 30 minutes in a 400 degree oven.
