SOUR DOUGH CHOCOLATE CAKE | |
1/2 c. sour dough starter 1/4 c. dry milk powder 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1 c. water 1/2 c. vegetable oil 1 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 eggs 3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, melted and cooled Combine sour dough, milk, flour, and water and ferment 2-4 1/2 hours in a warm place. Cream oil, sugar, salt, soda, vanilla and cinnamon. Beat in eggs, one at a time, then add chocolate. Add fermented mixture and mix well. Pour into a greased Bundt pan and bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Cake may be served with or without icing. |
