1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. lard (Armour lard)
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. sifted all purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Cream butter with lard, add sugars and peanut butter. Mix well, beat in eggs and sifted dry ingredients. Shape into balls, flatten with fork. About 1/2 level tablespoon of dough. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

Makes 12 dozen cookies.
