CABBAGE CASSEROLE 
Cook chopped cabbage until tender; drain and place in square casserole dish.

In saucepan melt 3 tablespoons butter and a dash of salt and pepper. Blend in 3 tablespoons of flour and mix. Add 1 cup milk. Cook until it thickens and comes to a boil. Add 1 cup grated cheese. Stir until melted; pour over cabbage, mix until coated. Melt 1/2 stick butter, add 25 saltine crackers, crushed. Sprinkle over the top. Bake at 350 degrees until bubbly, about 20 to 25 minutes.
