MOTHER'S FRUIT CAKE | |
3 lbs. mixed candied fruit 1 lb. seedless raisins, any color 1/2 lb. pitted dates 1/2 lb. dried figs 1 lb. pecan pieces 1 lb. walnut pieces (English) 2 lbs. graham cracker crumbs 1 c. brown sugar 4 cans condensed Eagle Brand milk 1 tsp. each cloves, allspice, cinnamon 1 sm. bottle vanilla flavoring 1 sm. bottle brandy flavoring Mix all. Stir thoroughly. Pack firmly in large cake pan, Tupperware, or Pyrex dish lined with wax paper. Refrigerate 30 days. Will keep a long time in the freezer. Slices better after it has aged and dried a bit. |
