APPLE CRISP 
4 c. sliced apples (tart)
1 c. white sugar
Sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg
1/2 c. walnuts

TOPPING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. raw oatmeal
1/2 c. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
10 tbsp. flour

Combine apples, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and nuts. Put into an 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 inch baking pan. Mix together all the topping ingredients and spread over apple mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes.
