CHERRIES ON THE SNOW CAKE 
1 pkg. white cake mix
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. confectioners' sugar
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
1 can cherry pie filling

Bake cake according to directions for 2 layers. Cool. Beat cream cheese and sugars until well blended. Fold in Cool Whip.

Ice first layer with this mixture and add 1/2 can pie filling. Add top layer, ice with remaining mixture and add remaining pie filling.

You can substitute cake mixes (yellow, chocolate, etc.) and also different fruit pie fillings may be used.
