HEATHER'S GARLIC BREAD 
1 1/2 sticks butter, at room temperature
3/4 c. Parmesan cheese
6 tbsp. mayonnaise
3 lg. garlic cloves, minced
2 tbsp. fresh chopped parsley
1/4 tsp. dry oregano
1 (1 lb.) French bread

This should be mixed 2 days ahead and refrigerated, but brought to room temperature. (I've made it on the same day and it still was good).

Combine the first 6 ingredients in medium bowl. Spread on French bread which has been sliced in half. Spread on cut sides, wrap in aluminum foil, each half, either one day ahead or several hours.

Place spread side up in foil on baking sheet. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake for 20 minutes, then preheat broiler, and broil uncovered for 2 minutes, or until golden brown. (Watch carefully so it doesn't burn.) Cut into 1 inch slices, serve hot! This is soooo good!
