LEMON BARS 
1 c. soft butter
1/2 c. unsifted powdered sugar
2 c. unsifted flour

In large bowl, cream together butter and powdered sugar until fluffy, add the flour beating until blended. Spread evenly over the bottom of a well greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a small mixing bowl beat until light and foamy:

Gradually add 2 cups sugar, beating until thick and blended, add: 1/3 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder

Beat until well blended. Pour lemon mixture over baked crust and return to oven, bake 25 to 30 minutes until golden and custard is set. Remove from oven and sprinkle evenly with about 2 tablespoons powdered sugar. Cool and cut into small bars. Makes about 20 bars.
