PUMPKIN BREAD 
1/2 c. melted shortening
1 c. pumpkin
1/2 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. chocolate chips
2 eggs
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. chopped nuts

1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. flour

Mix all ingredients together thoroughly. Bake in 9 x 5 inch loaf pan (or a bundt pan) for about 90 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool for 1 hour before removing from pan.
