1 c. sugar
1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter or Crisco
1 c. cooking oil
2 eggs
4 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine first 4 ingredients. Beat well. Add eggs, beat well. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Drop small balls of dough on cookie sheet and flatten with fork. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 10-12 minutes in 375 degree oven.
