CARL'S CHERRY PIE 
Pastry for 2 crust pie
1 can tart pitted cherries
1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. tapioca
Pinch of salt
Butter

Combine cherries and liquid with remaining ingredients. Stir well and pour into prepared pastry shell. Roll remaining pastry and cut into strips. Alternate strips on top of cherries for lattice effect. Dot with butter in each square and sprinkle top with sugar. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes and t hen at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Turn oven off and leave in oven for 10 more minutes.
