2 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
6 eggs
2 tsp. lemon flavoring
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. cake flour

Let eggs reach room temperature. Sift flour, measure and sift with salt. Cream sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Set mixer on beat and beat for 30 minutes. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Do Not Open Oven Door!
