SOUTHERN PECAN PIE 
1 (9 inch) pie shell
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans, chopped
1/3 c. butter
1 c. light corn syrup
3 eggs, slightly beaten

Cream butter and brown sugar very well. Blend in corn syrup and the rest of the ingredients. Fill the shell. Bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees and then the last 25 minutes bake at 350 degrees.
