CHEESE AND BROCCOLI SOUP 
6 c. water
1 med. onion, chopped
2 tsp. black pepper
1 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
1 c. half & half
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
8 oz. Velveeta cheese, cubed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. cold water

Bring water to boil, in a large saucepan. Add broccoli and onion. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, uncovered. Add cheese and seasonings. Stir until cheese melts. Stir in milk, half and half and butter. Cook over low heat until hot. Combine flour and water. Stir until smooth. Gradually add broccoli, mix. Stir constantly. Cook over medium heat until thick.
