BUSY DAY BEEF STEW | |
6 large potatoes, pared and cut into pieces 1 large carrot, pared and cut into 2 inch pieces 3 lb. stewing beef, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes 1/3 c. soy sauce 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. paprika 1/2 tsp. pepper 3 tbsp. flour 1- 12 oz. bag frozen chopped onion (or fresh) 1 c. condensed beef broth 1- 8 oz. can tomato sauce In crock pot layer potatoes, carrots and meat. Add soy sauce, salt, paprika, pepper and flour (sprinkled). Top with chopped onion. Combine beef broth and tomato sauce and pour over all. Cover and cook on low heat for 9 - 11 hours or on high heat for 5 - 6 hours. Yield 6 - 8 servings. |
