BUTTERMILK COFFEE CAKE 
1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. buttermilk or sour cream
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix ingredients, conventional method.

TOPPING:

1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Pour half of batter into greased and floured tube pan. Sprinkle half of topping over batter. Add remaining batter, then the topping. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees.
