BUTTERMILK COFFEE CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix
4 eggs
1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. white sugar
3/4 c. Wesson oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts

Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. In a small bowl, mix 5 tablespoons brown sugar and 3 teaspoons cinnamon. Pour 1/2 of batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle 3/4 of cinnamon mixture over batter. Spread rest of batter over cinnamon mixture and sprinkle remainder of mixture over top of cake. Bake at 350 degrees until done. Punch holes in cake. Pour sauce over cake while hot.

SAUCE:

1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
5 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Combine all ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over hot cake.
