BUTTERMILK COFFEE CAKE 
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. oil

Beat all these ingredients with electric beater until fluffy. Reserve 3/4 cup for topping.

Then add: 1 tsp. baking soda 1 egg, beaten in 1 c. buttermilk

Mix well and pour into prepared 9 x 13 inch pan.

To the reserved mixture add 1 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/2 cup chopped nuts. Sprinkle this over top of batter. Bake in 350 degree oven 25-30 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.
