1 lb. navy beans Bacon or soup bone 1 onion Boil first three ingredients for 2 minutes. Let sit covered 1 hour. Boil again until finger squeezeable. 1 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. dry mustard 2 tbsp. dark molasses 2 cloves garlic 1/4 c. catsup 1/4 c. barbeque sauce Add remaining ingredients and top with bacon and bake until done, approximately 3 hours in a 350 degree oven. After boiling beans and prior to adding seasonings, pour off excess water but save in case beans need additional liquid while baking. |
