ALMOND CRUNCH 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. honey
1 1/2 c. slivered almonds
1 c. chocolate chips (opt.)

Melt butter in heavy pan. Stir in honey and almonds. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until golden, about 10 minutes from the time it boils vigorously. Spread into buttered 9"x13" pan. Cut with buttered knife while warm. If desired, spread with 1 cup chocolate chips while hot. Chill in refrigerator.
