OVEN BEEF STEW 
1 lb. stewing chuck beef
1/3 c. flour
3 tbsp. oil
1 tsp. salt
1 c. water
4 sliced onions
4 whole carrots
4 quartered potatoes
1 (24 oz.) can V-8 juice

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Dredge meat with flour. In hot oil in Dutch oven brown meat on all sides. Pour juice and water over meat. Add seasonings. Bake covered for 1 1/2 hours. Add vegetables and continue cooking for another hour. 6 servings.
