1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 beaten egg
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash salt
2 c. flour
1 lg. Hershey bar
Finely chopped nuts

Mix shortening, brown sugar and egg. Add vanilla, salt and flour. Mix well. Spread into greased cookie sheet keeping 1 inch from edges. bake at 350 degrees 10 to 15 minutes. While warm spread one large Hershey bar over top. Sprinkle finely chopped nuts on top of chocolate. Allow to cool totally before cutting.
