ICE WATER CHOCOLATE CAKE 
3 c. sifted flour
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. cocoa
3/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda

Add:

2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. vinegar
2/3 c. vegetable oil
2 c. ice water

Beat until well mixed. Put in greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes. Do not remove from pan. Do not overcook. For a lacy finish, sift confectioners' sugar through a paper doily over top of cold cake. Slice and serve.
