FIRST PART:

3 c. sugar
1 c. clear corn syrup
1 c. water

Boil to 260 degrees or soft crack stage.

SECOND PART:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water

Boil to 238 degrees or soft ball stage.

THIRD PART:

Whites of 2 or 3 eggs
3/4 lb. pecan meats
1/2 c. candied cherries

Add second part to first part, then beat gradually into the stiffly beaten egg whites. Then add nut meats and candied fruit. Drop from spoon onto waxed paper.
