TURTLE CAKE | |
1 box German chocolate cake mix 14 oz. Kraft caramels 1/4 c. butter 1/2 c. evaporated milk 2 c. nuts 1 c. chocolate chips Melt caramels, evaporated milk and butter over low heat. Prepare cake mix according to directions. Pour 1/2 of batter in greased and floured 9x13 pan. Bake 350 degrees (glass pan 325 degrees) for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and pour caramel mixture over partially baked cake. Sprinkle chopped nuts and chocolate chips over caramel mixture. Pour remaining cake batter over all and continue baking for 20 minutes. |
