BRAZIL NUT FRUITCAKE 
3 c. Brazil nuts
1 lb. pitted dates, whole
1 c. Maraschino cherries, drained
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. plain flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Put whole nuts, dates and cherries into a large mixing bowl. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt over nuts and fruit. Mix until fruits and nuts are well coated. Beat eggs well. Add vanilla. Stir into nut/fruit mixture. Put in pan lined with wax paper. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Refrigerate before slicing.
