OLD FASHIONED CHESS PIE 
2 c. sugar
1 heaping tbsp. flour
1 heaping tbsp. corn meal
1/2 c. butter, melted
3 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. vanilla
10 inch unbaked pie shell

Mix sugar, flour and corn meal; stir in butter, eggs, buttermilk and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into pie shell. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce oven to 325 degrees; bake for 30 minutes. Cover pie with foil if necessary to prevent pie shell burning. Serves 6-8.
