APPLE TORTE 
1/2 c. soft butter
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour

CREAM CHEESE FILLING:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

APPLE TOPPING:

4 c. peeled, sliced apples
1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Crust: Cream together butter and sugar in a small bowl. Stir in vanilla. Add flour and mix well. Spread mixture on bottom and 2 inches up sides of a greased 9 inch springform pan.

Cream Cheese Filling: Combine cream cheese and sugar. Add egg and vanilla and mix well. Spread mixture evenly over pastry in springform pan.

Apple Topping: Place apples in a large bowl. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top and stir in apples to coat. Spoon apples over cream cheese filling.
