OVEN BAKED LASAGNE | |
1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck 1 (#2 1/2) can tomatoes, drained 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 envelope spaghetti sauce mix A few shakes garlic salt 10 lasagna noodles 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced 1 sm. carton dry cottage cheese Parmesan cheese Brown meat, spoon off excess fat. Add the next 4 ingredients. Cover and simmer 40 minutes stirring occasionally. Salt to taste. Add cottage cheese and mix. Cook the noodles in boiling salted water until just tender. Drain and rinse in cold water. Place half the noodles in lightly greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Cover with 1/3 of the sauce and top with 1/2 the Mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers, ending with the sauce. Top with Parmesan cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting. Serve with garlic bread. To Freeze: Put into the freezer before baking. When ready to use, thaw and bake 45 minutes to 1 hour. Delicious, not to spicy. |
