2 c. flour
1/4 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 heaping tsp. baking powder
Buttermilk, add to right consistency
1/4 c. salad oil
4 egg yolks

Mix all together adding buttermilk to right consistency. Whip egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture.

SYRUP:

1 c. dark Karo
1 c. white sugar
1/2 pt. heavy cream

Stir and add teaspoon vanilla.
