In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Mix in baking powder. Add flour one cup at a time and mix. Add enough flour until dough is not too sticky.

Pull off piece and roll on a lightly floured surface into 5 inch "snakes" x 1 inch wide. Twist into snails, figure "8" alphabet letters. After baking ice with powdered sugar and milk.
