ANCHORAGE'S CARAMEL BARS 
47 caramels
7 tbsp. milk
3 c. flour
3 c. oatmeal
2 1/4 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3/4 tsp. salt
2 1/4 c. butter
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped pecans

Melt caramels and milk in a saucepan; set aside. In a bowl, mix flour, oatmeal, brown sugar, baking soda, salt and butter. Put half of the crumb mixture into a 9x13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven.

Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans. Pour caramel mixture over crust, then add remaining crumb mixture on top. Bake 18 to 20 minutes more at 350 degrees.
