WAAYYYYYY TOO SWEET! Even though I cut the sugar in half from the beginning, I still was only able to make it through one cookie. Next time I will probably use 1/4 cup sugar, honey, or switch to a sugar free/organic peanut butter. But all in all, great recipe and SUPER easy!

I have been making and giving this recipe out for over 30 years my ex mother in law gave it to me, I think she got it from an old girl scout cooking book. No one ever believes me when I tell them the ingredients and they try for them self. It is the only peanut butter cookie I make. And now so do my grandchildren and niece's make it. Fantastic recipe!

So delicious and easy! Made the recipe a few times, once with almond butter as a substitute for peanutbutter (made for a chewier texture but also a richer, less sweet flavor. Very popular with the older crowd and went swell with tea!) And I also suggest chopped nuts (whichever are your face!) for a heartier bite to the cookie.

Thanks for sharing though, nomming some right now :)

For all the to all the people who say there to sweet just add 1/2 white sugar, 1/2 brown sugar. That's what I did, they were great. Love this recipe.

These are great when you have a sweet tooth and something quick and easy is the ticket! Sometimes I use 1/2 c. sugar, or 1/2 c. brown sugar instead to lessen sugar amounts, still works great! Have also at times added semi sweet chocolate chips also very good!

My husband made these twice and they have come out great both times. I tried to "out-do" him following a different recipe with flour, baking soda etc.. needless to say, this is the only recipe we will be using from now on. Thx

I was bored and hungry. I figured I'd look up my favorite cookie recipe. My very first time making these today & they were great. I used less sugar after reading all the comments.

Easiest cookies I have ever made. Just 1 bowl, 1 spoon, a measuring cup, and 15 minutes start to finish. Delicious, I also added one fourth cup chocolate chips. Will be making these a lot! Thanks for this amazing recipe!
