CARAMEL PECAN BARS 
1 pkg. Pillsbury butter or yellow cake mix
1 1/2 c. butter, softened
4 eggs
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. pecans

Reserve 2/3 c. cake mix for filling. Mix rest of cake mix, butter and 1 egg until crumbly. Press into greased 13 x 9 pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Mix reserved cake mix, syrup, 3 eggs and vanilla. Pour over baked crust, sprinkle with nuts. Bake 30 to 35 minutes more. Cool; cut.
