CARAMEL CANDY BARS 
1 pkg. (14 oz.) caramels
1/3 c. milk
2 c. flour
2 c. oats
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. butter, melted
1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Heat candies and milk in 2 quart pan, stirring frequently, until smooth. Remove from heat. Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, soda, salt, egg and butter until mixture is crumbly. Press half of mixture in pan.

Bake 10 minutes, then sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Drizzle caramel mixture over top. Sprinkle crumbly mixture over top. Bake until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Cool 30 minutes. Loosen edges from sides of pan, cool completely. Cut into bars, about 2 x 1 inch. Be careful not to overbake.
