ROMAINE SALAD 
2 heads Romaine lettuce
2 c. diced celery
3 chopped green onions
2 c. mandarin oranges

CRUSTY ALMONDS:

1 pkg. sliced almonds
2-4 tsp. butter
2-4 tsp. sugar

DRESSING:

1 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp. vinegar
1/2 c. salad oil
Dash Tabasco sauce
Dash black pepper
2 tsp. parsley

Break lettuce. Add celery and onions. Right before serving add drained oranges, crusty almonds and dressing.

Crusty Almonds: Cook almonds, butter and sugar in small pan over low heat until crusty. Lay on wax paper to dry.
