LAYERED BEEF CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 med. potatoes, thinly sliced
1/4 c. green pepper, finely chopped
1 med. onion, thinly sliced
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can condensed tomato soup
1/2 tsp. leaf chervil (if desired)

Crumble ground beef in 2-quart casserole. Cover with glass lid or plastic wrap. Microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes. Drain; stir and season with salt and pepper. Layer 1 sliced potato on top of beef, then green pepper, onion and second potato. Pour on soup. Sprinkle with chervil. Cover again and continue cooking on HIGH for 15 or 20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender. Let stand, covered, 5 minutes before serving. 4 to 6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
