BOURBON HOLIDAY BOWL 
2 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. maple syrup
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 tbsp. bitters
750 milligrams dry red wine
1 orange
2 c. bourbon

Combine boiling water, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, bitters and dry red wine; heat just to boiling, but do not allow to boil. Keep warm, without boiling, over candle. Stud slices of 1 orange with whole cloves. Float over top of spiced wine mixture. Just before serving, add 2 cups bourbon.
