CHOP SUEY | |
Chicken or pork, cooked & diced 1 sm. head cabbage 1 lg. bell pepper 1 lg. onion 4 stalks celery (4 sprigs) Broth 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. Italian spices 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1 hot pepper (opt.) Put spices in a cheesecloth 5 inches square and tie with string. Remove "bag" before serving. Boil chicken with salt or (I prefer pork neck bones) until tender. Take from bones and chop in small pieces (bite-size). Save the broth. Use 1 2/ cups broth in large saucepan. Chop vegetables in to broth -now add chopped meat and spices. Last add Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce. Cook maybe 10 minutes, just until vegetables are wilted good. Serve over rice. |
