1 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar (1 lb.)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. pecans

Cream shortening, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, beat well. Add dry ingredients, mix well. Add pecans. Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
